I joined Slimming World in 2003 whilst planning my wedding. The dream of a size 10 wedding dress was not impossible anymore and I left group that day with so much enthusiasm towards my lifestyle change! I lost 3.5 stones in time for my wedding and wore the dress of my dreams! Soon after, I fell pregnant and with that as an excuse, the pounds crept back on. My little boy was diagnosed with renal failure and I had to undergo health tests to see if I could donate one of my kidneys in the future. I needed to be healthy, so I joined Slimming World again and hit my target weight in just 5 months. Staying to group every week was key for me as I always learnt something new!
