After battling with my weight for years it reached the stage where I struggled to walk and got very out of breath at the slightest exertion. I visited my doctor, telling him of my symptoms, including chest and back pains with shortness of breath and he recomended me for bariatric surgery. I was terrified and joined Slimming World immediately. I lost 6 stone in 10 months and cancelled my surgery appointment as soon as I could. I was exuberant and so happy. But I still had chest and back pain. So I returned to the doctor to be rushed to hospital due to low heart beat. (32 beats a minute). They fitted a pacemaker and I have never looked back.
