From my tender primary school years, I grappled with excess weight. I felt self-conscious during PE classes and joined slimming clubs at 11, hoping for change. Over the years, I tried various diets, losing and regaining weight in a relentless cycle. In my early 20s I lost some weight, felt better, and had a daughter in 2013. But after my relationship ended, I gained even more weight. Almost 8 years later, I decided on gastric surgery, but it was cancelled during COVID, so I rethought my approach. With Slimming World, everything changed. I lost 5 pounds in week one without going hungry, finding joy in cooking and eating real food. I’m now 5 stone lighter!
