I first walked through the doors of my Slimming World Group in 2011. Iʼd just come back from a great holiday in Florida and that (and my general love of food) had resulted in the pounds piling on! I was nervous, of course, but the group was so warm, friendly and welcoming. I lost 3½st and that first visit changed my life forever! I made new lifelong friends and I really looked forward to our meetings every week, which were always full of fun and learning about how you can still love food, never feel hungry or deprived and still lose weight. Now, Iʼm a Consultant, and my groups are exactly the same. We meet every Friday at 9am, 10.15am or midday. New members will always receive the same warm welcome I got all those years ago!
