For many of us, soft, fluffy naan breads are a must with our favourite curry. But with flour and butter as key ingredients, most naan bread recipes aren’t great for weight loss.

Our recipe uses Greek yogurt and minimal flour, so it keeps the calories as low as possible without scrimping on flavour. Plus, our four-step recipe takes just 15 minutes to make, so it’s quicker than ordering a takeaway – and just as tasty!

Slimming World naan bread recipe

makes 4 
7 Syns per serving 
vegetarian 
freezer-friendly 
ready in 15 mins

 What you need: 

145g self-raising flour 
100g fat-free natural Greek yogurt 
1 level tsp cumin seeds 
low-calorie cooking spray 
2 level tsp reduced-fat butter, melted 
1 garlic clove, crushed 
chopped fresh coriander, to serve

What you do:

1. Add the flour, yogurt and cumin seeds to a mixing bowl and season lightly. Use your hands to bring the mixture together to form a dough. 

2. Split the dough into 4 equal pieces, then stretch them out using your hands or a rolling pin until they’re about 0.5cm thick. 

3. Spray a large non-stick frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and put it over a medium-high heat. Once the pan’s hot, add the naans and cook for 2-3 minutes, then turn and cook for a further 2-3 minutes. 

4. Mix the melted butter with the crushed garlic. Remove the naans from the pan, brush with the garlic butter and scatter over the coriander. Serve with your favourite curry and side dishes.
