Slimming World is UK’s most trusted weight loss programme at consumer awards

Summary

Slimming World has been named the UK’s most trusted weight loss brand at a prestigious awards ceremony. 

More than 17,000 consumers voted for their most trusted brands in a range of sectors as part of the 2025 Newsweek/BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards, with Slimming World named alongside a range of industry leaders, including Dyson, Heinz and Pampers. 

Slimming World was founded by Margaret Miles-Bramwell OBE in Derbyshire in 1969 and today supports 700,000 people each week, via its community weight loss groups and online service, to lose weight and to adopt new habits to stay slim for life.

Anika Devaney, Slimming World’s Head of Marketing and External Communications, who accepted the award on behalf of the company, says: “At Slimming World we know how incredibly personal weight loss journeys are and how vulnerable some people can feel when they first join one of our groups. People might be coming to us feeling disheartened after unsuccessful attempts to lose weight or uncertain about which of the weight loss advice we’re bombarded with in the media and online to trust.

The faith our members place in us by walking through our doors is hugely important to us, and we’re proud that our compassionate, science-backed approach to weight loss is deserving of their faith.

The 2025 Newsweek/BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards are annual rankings from global news organisation Newsweek and consumer research firm BrandSpark. This year's results were based on over 100,000 brand evaluations. Slimming World was a joint winner in its category.
